Weekend = Rain
Saving the world one gallon of oil at a time! I could probably be talked into flying again on Sunday. I have a friend coming in from out of town for a visit on Saturday. I could possibly bring him with me, but I'm not sure how into that he'd be. Hate to make him spend the day out in the heat with no real pay off to him. Hopefully Sunday will work for everybody else. I definitely think three weekends in a row would be a record, at least since I've been around hang gliding in Indiana.
Michal, if you get a chance before you leave for your visit to the old homeland, would you see if you can pull some HD pictures off of the video of my flight in Windfall? Preferrably with some windmills in the background. If you can, send them to me or post them here for everyone to see, or both. I need something new to post on my Facebook page! Haha! Regardless have a safe trip with the family, and enjoy your visit.

For everyones viewing pleasure, I have a new album called, stills from my windfall flight. Michal was good enough to send me 8 stills from the video. I shared them all, even though I could have kept one for myself.
What time are we planning to get together on Sunday? Hopefully we can get an earlier start this week. Kent, will you be able to join us this week?

It is doubtful that I will be there until late afternoon again. Will be out of town Saturday night. I hope you all are able to fly. Weather for Sunday looks to be a bit cooler.

Kim, Jeff Shipman and I went to the East-West road yesterday. Jeff is a H4 pilot who flies an Atos, mostly at Enjoy. He came to give us a hand for launching and wanted to see our setup to perhaps fly with us when crops are harvested since he lands on his wheels and even the soy is too high for that. The road is too narrow with crops on both sides for his wing. James had a job to do and we picked the East-West road because the wind was ESE.
Kim went first, but with no head wind and the shadow it was a short flight. I got luckier, with a 45 degree cross at 8 mph releasing in a thermal, I gained another thousand feet and flew 12 min after release enjoying the coolness of the air up there on this hot day. My second flight was short and the cloud cover reached 100 % turning off the lift. Thanks to Kent's parents for allowing me to charge the car overnight and to Jeff to help Kim and I get airborn.
